Bring, Take and Fetch

Bring refers to action toward the speaker.

Bring me the book that is on the table.

Take refers to action away from the speaker.

Take this book to the teacher in the other room.

Fetch refers to action away from the speaker and then back to the speaker.

Fetch the dictionary that is in the library.
